Description

Our corridor stewardship activities involve monitoring the boundary from Fox Gap to Wind Gap; refreshing boundary blazes; clearing boundary lines; placing US Boundary signs; and reporting encroachments in the corridor.  Encroachments may include illegal hunting, ATV use, or camping in undesignated areas. We have a few Corridor Stewardship Workdays a year, usually in the spring and fall.  Volunteers are also welcome to work independently or in pairs.

Contact ATC's Mid-Atlantic Corridor Stewardship Coordinator, Nicole Wooten (nwooten@appalachiantrail.org) for specific work dates, trainings, and areas that need help. Please put Corridor Boundary Volunteer in the subject line.  Thank you!
