| Description: | The Berkshire Chapter alone has over 3400 members throughout Western Massachusetts. The Chapter's AT Management Committee is responsible for maintaining and managing the 90 miles of AT between CT and VT. We maintain the footpath, monitor trail lands and rare and endangered plants. We have built and currently maintain 14 shelters and campsites on the AT. Our primary management partner in this effort is the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Division of Forests and Parks.
